Charles ‘Teddy’ Morris

Charles “Teddy” Morris, 91, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law.

Born Feb. 13, 1933, in Calloway County, he was the son of Ralph Conner Morris and Mary Dell (Gordon) Morris, who preceded him in death.

He worked his entire career as a wholesale/retail car dealer. He honorably served his country in the US Army, and was of Presbyterian faith.

Terry is survived by his wife,Sheila (Duke) Morris of Murray, whom he married Dec. 25, 1955 in Corinth, Mississippi;his children, Sherry (Guy) Mitchell, Teri (Tommy) Futrell and Ken Morris (Angie Lee-Morris), all of Murray; a sister, Charlotte Flake of Murray; grandchildren, Trent (Kela) Travis and Trey Travis, both of Dexter, Brittain Mitchell and Bryceton Mitchell, both of Nashville, Tennessee, Cassity (Austin) Tabers, Chase (Chelsea) Futrell and Taylor (Caide) Fraser, all of Murray, Adario Mercadante of Los Angeles, California; and great-grandchildren, Nash, Nevie and Nate Travis, Riggins and Rhett Futrell, and Liam and Luke Fraser.

A private family graveside service will be at Elm Grove Cemetery with Sammy Cunningham officiating.Burial will follow. There will be no public visitation.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Teddy’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; Humane Society of Calloway County, Suite A, 607 Poplar St., Murray, KY 42071, or to the Anna Mae Owen Hospice House, c/o The Foundation at MCCH, 803 Poplar St., Murray, KY 42071.

Mary Lovett White Lowrie

Mary Lovett White Lowrie, 90, of Hazel, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.

She was born April 3, 1934, in Dexter, Kentucky, to Phearson D. Lovett and Tommie Opal Darnell Lovett.

She was a homemaker and a member of Green Plain Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Buddy L. White; two sons, William Bryan White and Joel David White; one sister, Wanda Lovett Hart; and two brothers, Thomas D. Lovett and Ralph Durwood Lovett.

Mrs. Lowrie is survived by her husband, James Lowrie of Hazel; two sons, Samuel White and wife Eufracia of Murray and Jeff White of Hazel; one sister, Patricia A. Lovett Miller of Murray; one twin brother, Harry Lovett and wife Sue of Jacksonville, Florida; four grandchildren, Allison Baylis and husband Bill of Asheville, North Carolina, Daniel White and wife Sara of Magnolia, Delaware, David White of Murray and Adam White and wife Marilyn of Dubai, U.A.E.; and three great-grandchildren, Douglas White, Benjamin White and Atarah White.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation

Services with Johnnie Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow in Green Plain Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11

a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, at the funeral home.

John F. Hill

Mr. John F. Hill, 81, of New Concord, KY, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at his home.

John was born to the late Paul and Ruby Bowman Hill on July 7, 1943 in Alum Creek, West Virginia. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.He and his wife, Judy, managed the Cypress Cove RV Park, formerly known as Lakeview RV Park, for 15 years. He loved the outdoors and especially fishing at Kentucky Lake.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Andres Hill and Penny Batinich as well as one sister, Linda Stowers.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife and partner of 30 years, Judy Hill of New Concord; a son, Shane Hill (Christina) of Stockton, CA; two daughters, Denise Underwood of Lodi, CA, Jayda Hill of IN; a sister, Sue Childress of WV and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Per his wishes, John chose to have no services but asks that you remember a fond memory of him, something he said or did, that made you smile.

Laura Ross

Laura Ross, 62, of Dexter, Kentucky, passed away Monday, Sept. 30, 2024, at her home.

She was born April 13, 1962, in Harrison Township, Michigan, to William Miller and Marjorie (Nantz) Miller.

She retired from Pella Corp. after 17 years. She was an avid music lover, especially Elvis Presley, and loved watching Nascar.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Merle Miller, Ronnie Miller and Joey Miller, and two sisters, Pamela Paramo and Sharlene Miller.

Mrs. Ross is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” H. Ross II of Dexter; two daughters, Lisa Sager and husband Josh of Murray and Teresa DuBose of Dexter; one son, Robert “Henry” H. Ross III and wife Jennifer of Goodlettsville, Tennessee; one sister, Meredith Pillion of Benton; two brothers, James “Jimmy” Miller of Benton and Gary Miller and wife Lupi of Cape Coral, Florida; seven grandchildren, Mark Ross, Brinley Winchester, Clayton Sager, Berkley Sager, Colter DuBose, Eleanor Sager and Noah Sager; and two bonus grandchildren, Forrest and Samantha.

The funeral service was at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Ricky Cunningham officiating. Burial followed in St. Henry’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Aurora. Visitation was from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2024, at the funeral home.

Shirley Lavern Stalls

Mrs. Shirley Lavern Stalls, 87, of Fort Worth, TX, formerly of Murray, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 30, 2024.

Mrs. Stalls was born to Isaiah and Peachie Mae Harris on April 14, 1937 in Golden Pond, KY. Shirley was a beacon of faith and was deeply committed to serving the Lord and her family. She spent her life nurturing her home for her husband, O.T. Stalls and their children, Rexie, Terry and Stacey. She was loved by so many and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Rexie O.T. Stalls; a son, Terry Stalls; a brother, James Underhill; two sisters, Peggy Knight, Roberta Sprague and two great grandchildren, Leah Sawyers, and Kaleb Warren in addition to her parents.

Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include her sons, Rexie O.T. Stalls, Jr. (Ronda) of OK, Stacey Stalls of TX; a brother, Vernon Harris (Sandra) of TN; five grandchildren, Regina Rawley, Andrea Becker, Christie Sawyers, Jessica Stalls, Monica Warren and seven great grandchildren, Marcus, Darren, Christian, Joshua, Maddie, Cameron, Kylan, and Kasyn.

The funeral service honoring Mrs. Shirley Stalls is set for 12 pm on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home. Donnie Peal will officiate and burial will follow at Murray City Cemetery. Her family welcomes visitors from 10 am until 12 pm at the Heritage Chapel.

Jerral Dan Dunn

Jerral Dan Dunn, 85, of Hazel, Kentucky, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, Sept. 27, 2024, at Spring Creek Healthcare in Murray.

Born Feb. 19, 1939, in the Crossland, Kentucky community, he was the son of Paul Dunn and Naomi Key Dunn.

He retired from Mohon, Int., where he worked many years as the shipping supervisor. He was an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. Dan, alongside his family, had previously co owned and operated Dunn’s Grocery.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Dunn, and two grandchildren, Elizabeth Cooper, and Joey Tucker.

Dan married June Taylor Dunn Dec. 21, 1973, who survives, of Hazel.

Dan, who will be remembered for is kind heart and gentle soul, is survived by his wife of 50 years, June; two daughters, Sherry Cooper, and Tammie (Don) Bostick, both of Paris, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Stephanie Tucker and Jonathan Cooper; and six great-grandchildren, Taylor Waldron, Gabby Aldridge, Allyson Rasmussen, MaKenzy Tucker, Harper Ridgeway and Beckham Ridgeway.

The funeral service was at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at Ridgeway Funeral Home, Paris, with Chad Kennedy officiating. Visitation was from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial was in South Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Hazel. Family and friends served as pallbearers.

Jeffery Teitloff, 75, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2024, at Spring Creek Healthcare in Murray.
