I met Randy Couture this week in Vegas. Randy has partnered with Looking Glass Cyber Security (as a paid or unpaid rep of some sort) to promote his charity, Xtreme Couture GI Foundation.

A few things: (1) He was a super nice guy and the Looking Glass people were also solid. If you bought a charity GI Foundation shirt (which looks pretty excellent, I might add), Randy would sign it and do a photo with you. (2) Randy has always been listed as either 6' or 6'1". He is neither of those. I had my photo taken with him -- and no I am not posting the photo -- and I probably have half an inch on Randy. I am 5'10"/5'10.5", and I was wearing a really thin-soled business loafer. I'm guessing Randy is right at 5'10" or so, maybe a shade under. Pretty impressive he fought at HW and did so well. (3) I asked Randy "if Fedor came out of retirement for a legends fight, would [Randy] be willing to take the fight". He said "no" because he really was retired and said he was pretty sure Fedor was done too.
Again, class act. Nice guy. Very soft spoken. Raising $ for charity. Not as tall as you probably thought. No hope for fight with Fedor.

Id say he was probably around 6'0" in his thirties. Keep in mind he is 50 years old now.

Randy is closer to 6'2" than "5'10" or so", unless he's shrunk in the time that I've known him.

Fuck are you serious? I'm 47 and I am still and always have been 6'0", so if I'm 5'10.5" in five years I'm gonna be pissed off. How tall were you to begin with
As to this conversation, I've met him several times and he's about the same height as I am.

OT:
Try stretching your arms, and place yourself infront of a wall with your arms raised horisontally so the tips of fingers touch the wall. Then flex as you stand at the exact same spot, flex your arms with all youve got, and raise your arms again. I bet you they have become shorter.

I was 6'5 & 1/2 inches when entered boot camp in 1977 and last month at my annual physical I was 6'4. Maybe they measured me wrong and I should ask for another measurement.:icon_lol:

The NFL Columbine had Lesner at 6'2.5, before they fought you could tell Couture was a lot more than .5 inch shorter.
You lose about 1/2 in. for every ten years after 40.
